The Council of Editors of Learned Journals is hosting its annual Chat with an Editor program, in an expanded edition and in conjunction with the virtual Modern Language Association Convention. The Chat provides 20-minute time slots with a record number of editors–including WGFC‘s Dr. Ayesha Hardison–providing mentoring and advice to scholars with academic publishing and editing questions. The Chat runs Wednesday, January 6, from 3-5pm Eastern, and folks can sign up here.
Editors and their journals are listed on the sign-up site, and editors are ready to answer questions about authoring, querying, submitting, the peer review process, etc., so any of the editors are glad to help any potential author build their scholarly publishing knowledge! (Please only sign up for one slot with one editor to allow as many folks to participate as possible.) Editors will provide individual Zoom links to participants a few days before MLA. Slots usually fill by New Years, and there will be a waiting list, so sign up soon!
